ABS
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a durable and widely used engineering thermoplastic, known for its balanced combination of strength, impact resistance, and post-processing flexibility. Long established in automotive and consumer manufacturing, ABS remains one of the most dependable materials for functional FDM prints that need to perform in real-world conditions without the cost of high-performance composites.
ABS excels where durability, moderate heat resistance, and machinability matter most. It can be drilled, tapped, sanded, painted, or vapor-smoothed with acetone to achieve professional, production-like finishes. This makes it ideal for creating proof-of-concept parts, test fits, housings, brackets, and enclosures that look and feel like final products.
Offering robust performance and temperature stability up to around 100 °C. It shines as a practical, cost-effective choice for mechanical testing, ergonomic prototypes, and functional assemblies where precision, impact strength, and aesthetic quality are key.
Max Print Volume 500 x 500 x 700mm
